Frog on a Bike

Energetic, dance floor packing English Ceilidh band

Described by BBC Radio Cambridgeshire’s Folk Show presenter Sue Marchant as ‘a bit of a treasure’, Frog on a Bike are one of Cambridgeshire’s most established and popular ceilidh bands. They also boast a highly respected reputation on the wider UK ceilidh scene, having played ceilidhs at many leading folk festivals such as Ely Folk Festival, Whitby Folk Week, Towersey Festival, Todmorden Folk Festival, Rochester Sweeps, Wallingford Bunkfest and Cambridge Folk Festival.

Featuring some of the most experienced folk dance musicians in the business, Frog on a Bike’s vivacious energy, distinctively big folk-rock sound and driving rhythm is guaranteed to have you up and dancing.

To complete the ceilidh experience, Frog draws from a carefully selected complement of friendly, patient and very knowledgeable callers to guide you through each dance.

With repertoire rooted in the folk music of the British Isles, including self-penned tunes, and a finely balanced line-up of melodeon, fiddle, mandolin, recorder, bass and drum kit, Frog’s verve and vigour on stage ensures a memorably energetic and engaging performance every time.

Frog on a Bike look forward to entertaining you at your ceilidh, festival, wedding, party or barn dance. You won’t be disappointed that you came along for the ride!
