Rejigged are a 5-piece folk band with caller and we play for Barn dances, ceilidhs and Scots Ceilidhs.
Each musician has 10 plus years experience playing folk music for dancing. The music played is a selection of Irish, Scots, English and American which is adapted depending upon the occasion. The band is multilingual and the caller writes his own dances which are currently published in a booklet call ‘A Dickens of a dance’.
The caller calls a variety of dances not just from his booklet and in particular he calls American squares.
The band play for fun and hence are fairly economical as a band seeking to entertain and amuse the audiences. They have just recently played at the Rochester (Kent) Dickens festival, the Mistletoe Ball. A very prestigious function where the audience all dress in Victorian costume of the 1860s.
